How long does the mange kit last?
The mange kit will last 1-2 months depending on the size of your dog. As you learned here the basis of the kit is to work from the inside and to boost the immune system (through diet and herbs) The mange itself will be treated with the Neem shampoo and Neem oil (combined to make a therapeutic shampoo) Neem is nontoxic (except to the mange mites) - but it's not enough just to kill off the mites - the immune system must be strengthened so the body can support its own ability to control the mites.
While you use the shampoo you will also change the diet and use the other products in the kit to focus on skin, immune boosting and strengthening.
Most people report back to us that they begin to see results in a week to 2 weeks, then gradual and steady improvement thereafter. This is excellent - a dog that has been repeatedly dipped with toxic chemicals needs about a week just to recover from that stress, so patience is important.
Also make sure you change the diet gradually over 3-5 days - diet changes are stressful so each day take out some old 'food' and add the new recipe of fresh wholesome food. Don't worry about the exact ratios during the transition, the important part is to make the change gradual. You can add the supplement into the mixed food during transition.
Marlene often reminds people that what you eliminate is often as important as what you add. So, commercial preserved treats, rawhide chews, commercial food and vaccinations as well as spot flea treatments, flea collars and anything else that is 'toxic' should be stopped.
Your goal to create a clean, organic environment inside your dog.
Once the initial treatment is done (each dog varies) you will need to evaluate which supplements need to be reordered. Most people have so much success with the diet they continue with the herbal green power, flax oil and add the bone meal for long term use with the diet. The improvements in the overall energy and health are quite dramatic. Back to top
