Boston Terrier

Cataracts - Present at birth but may not appear until 2-3 months of age. Puppies sometimes develop cataracts but they may disappear. Other hereditary cataracts may appear up to 6 years of age. Deafness in both ears. Color mutant alocepia - Partial air lof, dark patches on coat, dry coat, raised red spots. Cerebellar hypoplasia - underdevelopment of the rear part of the brain causing loss of balance. Dieabetes. Hydrocephalus - accumulation of fluid in the brain lining causing enlarged head. Hypospadius - abnormal location of the urinary hole (underside of denia) surgically correctable. Ichthyosis - thickening of the foot pads and rough dry scaly skin. Pyloric stenosis - narrow opening of the stomach causing vomiting, cramps, distension and weight loss (surgically correcable)
