Why home prepared meals?
Ask yourself this about commercial foods - How is it possible that commercial foods contain meats (chicken, beef, lamb, etc.), grains, and FAT - yet you can keep them un-refridgerated for weeks or months and they will not go bad... How is this possible?
Try placing leftovers from your last nights dinner in the closet for 3 months! Notice what happens?
Natural preservatives??? No way. Just how much rosemary and vitamin E do you think it would take to preserve fat and meat for months??
Here’s the answer - Commercial foods are SO HIGHLY PROCESSED that they are no longer food at all. They have been chemically changed into something inert (dead, lifeless) and then sprayed with protein digest and vitamins to fool your dog into eating them. Fats in the food are loaded with preservatives from the rendering plant and as long as the ‘natural’ manufacturer doesn’t add their own, they can say ‘natural - no preservatives’.
Real, fresh food (fed to dogs for thousands of years) is alive with nutrition - raw or cooked or combination. Back
