Frequent passing of watery stools - dog may not seem ill (usually acute form) or dog may also vomit

Dietary indiscretion, disease, parasites, stress - most observant owners can determine the difference between the occasional bout of diarrhea and diarrhea caused by illness

First aid treatment - withhold food for 24-48 hours (provide water) - then reintroduce cooked white rice with some ground beef - small meals - see vet if diarrhea returns or dog is lethargic or will not eat.
