At onset the dog may roll back feet and abrade the top of the toes. Later there is a progressive loss of motor control - unsteady gait

Cause unknown - may be genetic predisposition. The nerves of the spinal cord are affected - progress varies.

X-rays are needed to rule out other disc disease, sponsylosis or hip dysplasia. Herbs and homeopathy ad well as acupuncture help.
